GORI PROPELLER CUSTOMERS VENDEE GLOBE

The GORI Race Propeller is the folding propeller of choice of 95% of the Vendee Globe fleet in the tenth edition of this epic solo race around the world. We look to find out what sets this propeller apart.
The GORI Race Propeller is a propeller design geared towards speed. From the intricately designed aquadynamic shape and the ingenious folding mechanism to the precision engineering. Drag is kept to a minimum whether in displacement mode or foiling as the propeller remains folded when not in use, yet it maintains maximum effect under engine power.
Please don’t take our word for it. Paul Meilhat, skipper of Biotherm, in this edition of the Vendee Globe, shares his thoughts. “This [GORI Race] propeller is very responsive and reliable. When it’s folded up, there’s not a millimetre sticking out, so it’s really important for us to reduce drag as much as possible. Despite the many violent impacts on our boats, it doesn’t move at all. On the Imoca boats, we also have traction tests to validate; we have to develop a certain amount of power going forward, and the Gori Racing easily passes them.”
